Vision and tasks

Strategy teams help the Executive Committee to analyse the industry and competition in order to define and formalise the Group’s global strategy. They coordinate relations with the subsidiaries, including mergers and acquisitions, in close collaboration with legal, finance, operations and programme teams. They oversee and manage relations with the shareholders and parent companies, and communicate corporate strategy across company departments.

  • Monitoring and analysing competitiveness and performance of ArianeGroup’s different business activities, in collaboration with the departments concerned

Human resources

Vision and tasks

 

Human resources teams are a fundamental support for the business to meet current and future challenges by assisting company teams to manage change, integration and transformation. HR teams work closely with employees across departments to ensure that people feel fulfilled in their jobs, and have the proper tools to perform them. They foster employee engagement, promote upskilling through training, and oversee mobility within the Group.

  • Determining HR policy and processes to do with salaries, administrative management, social policy, recruitment, training, mobility and career management

Legal, ethics, compliance and institutional relations

 

Vision and tasks

 

Legal teams are in charge of ethics, compliance and institutional relations, and manage all legal, contractual and governance issues. They promote, safeguard and defend ArianeGroup’s legal interests. They uphold a corporate culture based on ethics and integrity, and ensure that issues that do not comply with legal obligations or commercial regulations are prevented, identified and resolved. They develop and maintain efficient relations with institutional customers and the different stakeholder groups (shareholders, partners, customers and suppliers).

Continuous improvement and change management

Vision and tasks

 

Teams in charge of continuous improvement support project leaders, managers and their teams in implementing projects that target optimising costs, lead times and quality (OCOTOQ). For this, they use  Lean Six Sigma  tools and methodologies, as well as tools for overseeing change management. As part of the company’s transformation plan, these teams also provide staff Lean Management training (White Belt, Green Belt, Manager Belt, Black Belt).

They protect ArianeGroup assets by ensuring risk management, compliance, and veracity and integrity of financial data.

Vision and tasks

 

Teams in charge of information systems (IS) management determine the IS strategies and provide advice for their development. They make arbitrage recommendations according to project portfolio priorities. They are also responsible for monitoring and roll-out of projects, and for guaranteeing the quality of post-production services. They have goals regarding key Group transformation and integration projects. They ensure that internal customers are satisfied, measuring satisfaction levels and optimising the resources deployed to improve them.

Health, safety & environment (HSE) teams oversee risk mitigation and control approaches at every site. They provide technical expertise to assess risk and ensure implementation of appropriate control processes, in particular regarding chemical and pyrotechnical risks. They are involved in optimising risk prevention measures and guaranteeing a robust environmental framework. They set goals, ensure resource compliance and carry out regulatory monitoring.

 

Role and responsibilities

 

  • Coordinating development and update of occupational risk assessment at every Group site
  • Ensuring compliance with training and certification regulations
  • Reporting accidents/incidents and ensuring surveys and analyses are carried out
  • Liaising with administrative authorities
  • Maintaining dialogue with staff representative bodies regarding HSE matters
